Sanjay Sinho

American India Foundation

Dr. Sanjay Sinho currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at American India Foundation since April 2008 based out of New York. AIF's mission is to accelerate social and economic change in India, by mobilizing people and resources in the United States. AIF awards grants to education, livelihood and public health projects in India - with emphases on elementary education, women's empowerment and maternal and child health (with special focus on reproductive health).

Sanjay has over 20 years of experience in the development sectors with special emphasis in public health.  Prior to AIF he was the Director for Health in CARE based out of Atlanta where he provided oversight to the organizations health portfolio of more than 250 projects in more than 50 countries.   In his professional career he had worked as a lecturer in sociology, an adjunct professor for public health at Emory University, a consultant with WHO, and a practicing pediatrician in Bhopal.

Sanjay holds a bachelor’s degree in general medicine and surgery and a Masters Degrees in Sociology, Pediatrics and from Bhopal University in India.
