Program PartnersThe GARDASIL® Access Program, which will run over a 5-year period, is made possible by a pledge from Merck & Co Inc., [Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, U.S.A.] and overseen by Axios Healthcare Development (AHD), a US non-profit organization. AHD administers the donation program, reviews and approves applications, and ensures prompt delivery of the vaccine to the recipients, with the technical assistance of Axios International, a public health consultancy specializing in developing and emerging countries. Merck & Co., Inc. [Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, U.S.A.] is a global research-driven pharmaceutical company dedicated to putting patients first. Established in 1891, Merck discovers, develops, manufactures and markets vaccines and medicines to address unmet medical needs. The company devotes extensive efforts to increase access to medicines through far-reaching programs that not only donate Merck medicines but help deliver them to the people who need them. Merck also publishes unbiased health information as a not-for-profit service. Axios Healthcare Development (AHD) is a 501(C)(3) Public charity incorporated in the state of Delaware USA focused on the in-country implementation of philanthropic healthcare programs. Axios International is a consultancy founded in 1997 that specializes in strategic advice and technical assistance to improve access to healthcare in low and middle income countries. Axios is an organization dedicated to increasing access to treatment and care in developing countries through program strategy, design, implementation, research, evaluation, and communications. |
